LIABILITIES
Please safeguard your property. The hotel will not accept any liability for loss of or damage to property or death or illness of
or injury to persons. Unless the Company is liable as referred to you will indemnify the Company from and against any and all
liability for loss of or damage to property or death or illness of or injury to persons and against any and all claims, costs, demands,
proceedings and damages arising there from as a result of the event. You are advised to consider your insurance cover in respect of above.
PARKING
There are 5 parking spaces at the front of the hotel and 7parking bays at the rear parking area. All guests and visitors must make assistance, they park within the lines and occupy only 1 space per car.

Please kindly note: Goods and services may not be bought or sold on the premises without the hotel manager’s prior written consent in which case additional terms and conditions will apply which you must sign. No tickets whatsoever may be sold at the event. The hotel name, logo and telephone number may not be used in any advertising or other publicity without prior written consent of the hotel manager. No signs, display posters or other material may be fixed to the walls of any part of the hotel, without the prior authorisation of the hotel manager. If the contract includes you employing the services of an outside assistance, then you will indemnify the hotel against any loss of or damage to property or death or illness of or injury to persons caused by such contractor and against all claims, costs, demands, proceedings and damages arising there from. Any outside contractor employed by you must report to the duty manager at the hotel. The hotel reserves the right to refuse access to any contractor in appropriate circumstances. All events are advised to take insurance cover. Photography; the hotel reserves the right to photograph any part of your event for the purpose of advertising the hotel or hotel facilities. The hotel also reserves the right to limit areas of the hotel which may be used for photography.
PET POLICY
Pets are not allowed. Only certified service dogs are allowed inside the hotel and are subject to damage/cleaning deposit of £200.

- Check in: 2 pm till 9 pm.
Check out: 11 am - Early check-in and late check-out options might be available at an extra cost of £20, please contact reception 24 hrs in advance to discuss your requirements.
- Guests under 21 are welcome with adult supervision only.
- Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 8 am. We kindly ask our guest to avoid noisy activities and any loud sounds during this time.
- All rooms are non-smoking and a new smoke detection system has been installed in all rooms and communal areas to prevent the risk of fire. Smoking in rooms is subject to penalty. The Smoking area is outside of the hotel.
- Take away food can be ordered by guests and consumed at the hotel dining room. We will gladly provide our dining room facilities for food and drinks consumption from 5-10 pm without extra cost.
- Guests might be charged a returnable deposit of £100, which will be returned at check-out provided no damage was caused to the hotel property.
- In line with immigration law hotel guests might be asked to show their ID to verify their name, age and travel documents.
RESERVATIONS & DEPOSITS:
- At the time of booking guests can pay the full amount or choose an option to pay at arrival. We accept all major debit and credit cards.
- Your final bill can be settled by cash or debit or credit card.
- Double rooms are based on two people sharing, however single occupancy is subject to availability and rates for this are available upon request.
- Bookings at the weekend are generally for a minimum of two nights, though single nights are occasionally available upon request.
- Between mid-June to mid-September all requests including room numbers are not guaranteed.
- Prices are set per room up to the maximum room occupancy.
- Children should always be supervised by adults.
- At the moment our hotel does not accept pets.
- We will endeavour to accommodate any special dietary requirements if advised at least two days prior to arrival.
- The rate booked at the time the reservation is made, is the rate that you will be required to pay. If rates increase this will not affect your booking, similarly if rates decrease due to last minute special offers you are not liable to a rate reduction.
AMENDMENTS / CANCELLATIONS:
- Should circumstances arise beyond our control we reserve the right to offer an alternative choice of accommodation.
- The hotel reserves the right to change the tariff at any time without prior notification.
- If you need to cancel a reservation please contact reception@torland.co.uk within 24 hours prior to the arrival date, otherwise the full cost of the first day of your stay will be charged.
PERSONAL PROPERTY:
- The hotel is not liable for guests’ vehicles and their contents. Cars are parked in the car park at the owner’s risk.
- The hotel accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to personal possessions. All items are left at the owner’s risk, however secure safe keeping facilities are available at reception.
ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT:
- At the Torland Hotel we aim to offer high levels of hospitality to all our guests, regardless of any disability or medical condition. We ask that if you have any particular requirements, you read our Accessibility Statement as it is designed to give you the information you need in order for you to assess whether or not we can meet your particular needs. If you have read the Accessibility Statement and proceed to book with us, the hotel will not accept liability if your needs are not met.
- Reservations can be made by telephone or email.
- The hotel is located approximately 0.6 miles from Paignton railway and bus stations. A taxi can be arranged for you on request. Directions to the hotel can be found on the website.
- There is no designated disabled parking bay, but we can reserve one bay upon request. Assistance with luggage is always available.
- There is no lift at the hotel.
- The dining room and TV lounge are all on one level. The hotel does not have a hearing loop installed.
- The hotel has no bedrooms specifically designed for use by guests with impaired mobility; however, our Staff are more than happy to discuss your particular requirements. Bedrooms vary in terms of shape and size however many will be suitable for guests with minor disabilities so do please feel free to call us and let our Reception team assist you.
- There is one room at the ground floor with private entrance from the rear parking (2 steps) or front entrance ( 9 steps ).
- All information such as menus, bedroom information and tariffs can be printed in larger fonts if so required.
- We have tried to be accurate and as comprehensive as possible in the preparation of this Access Statement. All Staff are more than happy to assist in any way possible to ensure that you have a very enjoyable stay at the Torland Hotel.
